BC Tech scholarship

Details. Established in 2005, the industry-funded BC Technology Scholarship Program provides grants to students who have a proven passion for technology, a desire to leave a mark in the tech sector, and are pursuing a post-secondary education in a BC-based technology-related discipline.

Eligibility. University and College applicants must be a full-time student continuing studies in September 2017 at a publicly funded, BC-based post-secondary educational institution in a minimum 2-year program.

Value. 2 x $5,000 for current University and College students and 6 x $1,000 for Grade 12 Graduates entering post-secondary.

The alice wilson award

 

 

Details. Awarded annually to three woman of outstanding academic qualifications entering a career in research at the postdoctoral level in Science, Arts and Humanities, or Social Sciences.

Eligibility. For female students who have successfully received a postdoctoral fellowship from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).

L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science – NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship Supplement

Details. One award offered annually as a collaboration between L’Oréal Canada, Canadian Commission for UNESCO and NSERC

Eligibility. For female scientists or engineering who have received an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship (PDF).

kappa kappa gamma foundation of Canada Scholarship

 

 

 

Details. Awarded annually by the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation of Canada, focussed on supporting Canadian women achieving high standards of scholarship, leadership, and community service.

Senior Women Academic Administrators of Canada (SWAAC) - SWAAC Graduate Student Award of Merit

 

 

Details Minimum of three scholarships handed out annually, awards rotate between different regions within Canada.

Eligibility. Must be a female Canadian Citizen that is currently pursuing a Master’s or a PhD program.

Senior Women Academic Administrators of Canada (SWAAC) - SWAAC  Student Leadership Award

 

 

 

Details. Minimum of two scholarships handed out annually, awards rotate between different regions within Canada. Recognition for academic standing and outstanding leadership at institution and in the community.

Eligibility. Must be a female Canadian Citizen that is a member of any Institution of CIC (Colleges and Institutes Canada). This includes Vancouver Island University and Camosun College, but not UVic.

Soroptomist Foundation Canada

P.E.O. - PSA (P.E.O. Scholar Award)

 

 

 

 

 

Details. Several grants offered annually to recognize females that are well-established in their program and field of research. 

Eligibility. Must be a female citizen or legal permanent resident of the U.S. or Canada that is within two years of completing a doctoral degree. Requires nomination by a local P.E.O. chapter (Montreal chapter).

RBC Students Leading Change Scholarship

Details. This award is based on recognition of the growing number of Canadian students that show a passion to lead and inspire positive change in their community while purusing post secondary education. 

Eligibility. Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree or diploma program on a full-time basis in a recognized publicly funded Canadian university or college and planning to continue full-time studies in fall 2017. Must have at least 2 years of full-time studies left in the program.
